Pitman on Bulls Defeat

Jamie Pitman had the difficult job of explaining to BBC Hereford and Worcester how his side gave away an early lead against Barnet this afternoon and ended up losing 2-1.

"I think we should have been three up at half-time," said the Hereford United manager.

"We had enough chances to go in two or three up. We failed to do that.

"We conceeded a bad goal before half-time which gave them momentum.

"We had six glorious opportunities to increase our lead and we've not taken them.

"They haven't really threatened us first half but second half they caused us a problem.

"I'm not going to beat about the bush, we did well first half, we were poor second half.

"And we've conceeded bad goals."

For whatever reason Janos Kovacs appeared to lose concentration when Izale Mcleod scored the Bees second goal.

"He's just switched off. He's made a mistake. Same with the first goal. Can't say any more.

"It's not a natural reaction to go out and perform badly. They don't do it on purpose.

"We tend not to have a great atmosphere at home for whatever reason. We started very well but we've not kicked on."
