News Round Up

Morecambe have signed Blackburn midfielder Zac Aley on loan until the end of the season. The 19 year old was signed from Southport 12 months ago but is yet to make a first team appearance for the Premier League side. Port Vale assistant boss Geoff Horsfield has hinted he may leave the club at the end of the season, telling the press: "Of course I can work with Jim Gannon, and he's got to work with me, because I'm the assistant manager at least until the end of the season."

Northampton have released defender Craig Hinton by mutual consent. The 33 year old former Bristol Rovers man was out of contract at the end of the season and not in manager Gary Johnson's plans. He is to return to the Pirates as assistant to caretaker boss Stuart Campbell. Crewe boss Dario Gradi says he lets his squad decide who wears the captain's armband each game. Three different players have skippered the side this season.

Oxford have signed former Bulls trialist Ryan Burge on loan from Doncaster until the end of the season. The 23 year old midfielder signed for Rovers in January but has made only one sub appearance since. Bradford say they have been warned by the FA over several incidents where fans have thrown objects onto the pitch in recent games.

Wycombe are one of a number of sides said to be chasing AFC Totton winger Mike Gosney. The 22 year old left sided player has scored 29 goals in the second tier of the Zamaretto League this season. Stockport have opted not to extend the loan of Southampton forward Ryan Doble. Crewe goalkeeper Rhys Taylor will miss next Sunday's game at Edgar Street after being called up for the Wales u21 squad.

Bradford have confirmed they have signed midfielder Dave Syers to a new 12 month deal after he triggered a clause in his current deal for an extension. Redditch have been taken over by former Kidderminster bidder Chris Swan. No details have yet been given on the deal, with a press conference due to take place prior to Saturday's game with Workington. Just 70 fans attended their midweek loss to Droylsden.

Former Bulls loanee Byron Webster has joined Northampton on loan for a month. The Doncaster man played twice for the Bulls without impressing after arriving in November. Rotherham have extended the loan of Watford forward Liam Henderson until the end of the season. He played five times in his first month at the club.

Croydon are back in trouble after reports in Denmark stated that Fodboldselskabet, the consortium set up to buy the club, had been forced into bankruptcy. They bought 51% of the club from disgraced owner Mazhar Majeed, who faces court this week over the cricket spot-fixing affair.
