Crewe Report Substantial Loss

Crewe have posted a substantial six-figure loss in their accounts for last season.

After posting a profit close to £200,000 during the 08/09 season, the Railwaymen posted a loss of £821,934 for the 09/10 season - including £1.3million in transfer fees received.

During the period the club sold James Bailey and John Brayford to Derby for close to £1million, and bagged a six-figure sum for Michael O'Connor's move to Scunthorpe, but the transfer fees failed to cover the substantial losses following their relegation to League Two.
