Bulls await Hearing

Hereford United should find out this coming week if they will receive a points deduction and/or fine for having an ineligible player on the field at Torquay recently.

According to the Worcester News 'a hearing is expected to take place at a neutral venue this coming week'.

Hereford United chairman David Keyte thinks the case is unusual as Torquay also fielded an ineligible player in the same game.

"It’s a fairly unique one for the league to consider with both clubs in the same position." Keyte told the paper.

"If the case is proven, which neither side are arguing against, it’s usual to deduct the points that have been gained in that match.

"If a side has lost the match and not gained any points they would get fined. So if we were deducted points and Torquay fined, it would not be a fair result."
