Oldham reckon they have spent £5million acquiring land and paying for stadium designs and site surveys for their failed new stadium bid. They doubled their gate on Tuesday night to over 8,500 by offering £2 admission, and say they will likely offer another cheap deal before the end of the season. Swindon are also on the cheap deals bandwagon, offering a 'buy one get one free' ticket offer for their match with Walsall at the start of March. The offer includes free tickets for their 5,600 season ticket holders.
Stockport are to hand out several hundred tickets to schoolchildren after two supporters handed around £400 each to the club to subsidise the tickets. Macclesfield have loaned out young forward Adam Roberts to Northwich to get some first team experience. Southend have recalled defender Luke Prosser from his loan at Rushden due to an injury crisis at Roots Hall.
The Football League have issued ticket prices for the Play-offs. The League Two match has a cheapest adult ticket of £26, with League One paying £4 more for the Old Trafford showpiece. The Championship final remains at Wembley with the cheapest ticket being £36. Stockport have confirmed receiving a written offer for the club. They have released no further details as the offer is confidential, but it is assumed to have come from former Port Vale bidder Mike Newton.
