Just 16 Lincoln City players trained today according to their manager Steve Tilson. The Imps take on the Bulls on Saturday in the FA Cup replay and Tilson could find naming a full squad of 18 beyond him.
Neither team is allowed to play anyone who has signed since the first game between the two clubs which was on November 27th, six weeks ago.
And, as reported earlier today on BN, Tilson has a host of unavailable players mainly because of injuries.
"We've got to use what we've got," said the Lincoln manager in his pre-match press conference.
"It's difficult at the moment. It's not an ideal situation. We haven't got too many options.
"I'll pick a side to try and win the game."
Tilson gave the impression that he felt the game might go to extra-time and perhaps a penalty shoot-out.
However he added that the Imps would be prepared as they are to practise penalties tomorrow.
Meanwhile the best price for a Hereford United win has dropped to 5/2. This price is available with Totesport and Victor Chandler.
