News Round Up

Oxford have announced the signing of defender Djoumin Sangare until the end of the season. The former York man was on trial at Lincoln earlier in the week. Northampton have decided not to extend the loan of former Bulls loanee Craig King. The 19 year old played eight times over two months for the Cobblers without scoring.

Stevenage have released striker Lee Boylan at the end of his short term deal. The former Canvey Island hotshot was only a bit player in last season's promotion and managed just two sub appearances this term. Stockport signing Anthony Elding says he rejected a move to Port Vale before rejoining the Hatters on loan.

Barnet have signed Wolves teenage defender John Dunleavy on loan for a month. The Rep of Ireland youth international full back is yet to make a first team appearance. Northampton have pulled out of a deal for Bristol City striker John Akinde after the played rejected a permanent move to Sixfields. The former Ebbsfleet man would only commit to a loan deal. They are reported to have lodged a bid for an unnamed League Two striker in addition to the one for Burton's Shaun Harrad.

Theo Robinson is reported to be on the verge of a permanent switch from Huddersfield to Millwall after recoving from the knee operation that cut short his loan at the New Den earlier in the season. Bookmakers are investigating suspicious betting patterns in the Birmingham area involving the Tamworth-Newport match on Tuesday. Heavy betting was recorded on 2-2 and 3-3 scorelines, with the game ending 3-2 thanks to an injury time penalty.

Cheltenham say they are on course to make a small profit for the season thanks to their FA Cup run. They made around £80,000 in gate receipts and prize money, including a trip to Southampton, and say that manager Mark Yates is allowed to bring in another loan player. It will be their first profit in five years.

Lincoln have signed Reading full back Julian Kelly on a months loan. The 21 year old hasn't played since August due to injury, and spent the final three months of last season at Wycombe.
