The local Burton press are reporting that the Bulls have made an enquiry to take Tony James back on loan.
The veteran defender steadied the Bulls defence during his month on loan earlier in the season, helping secure nine points from six League games. The Derby Telegraph reports:
'League Two bottom club Hereford United would also like Tony James back for another loan but Peschisolido would prefer to keep the experienced centre-half at Burton, as he does not have too many options for defensive cover with a busy second half of the season in prospect.'
James has missed Burton's last four matches, with only one of them due to injury.
Meanwhile Rob Purdie is likely to extend his stay at Edgar Street as a loan rather than a permanent transfer. Oldham are reported to be subsidising half his wages during his current loan spell, and are currently unable to agree a pay-off with the midfielder due to their precarious financial state.
Out on loan Bull Sam Malson played the first half for Redditch as they lost 3-0 at Solihull Moors but his recent illness got the better of him and he was withdrawn early in the second half. His loan at the Reds expires next week.
