According to the Football League there will be a pitch inspection at Edgar Street at some stage today to see if tomorrow's Hereford United/Morecambe League Two match can go ahead.
Covers were placed on the ground after last Saturday's FA Cup match and it is hoped that they will have kept the pitch frost-free.
However the temperature at the Met Office station at Credenhill, just outside Hereford, was reported to be -11.6C at 7am this morning. The frost covers only protect successfully down to -5c.
And although there is a forecast of slightly warmer weather tomorrow afternoon, there has to be a chance that the game might be postponed.
Update: Met Office records 9am temperature at Credenhill as -12.5c.
