News Round Up

Two of our more local sides had fans forums last night. Kidderminster's forum confirmed news that they will incur a £350,000 loss this term on current spending levels, but aim to cut £200,000 from their spending. Without the new chairman taking over they would not have been able to pay October's wages in full. At Forest Green new chairman Dale Vince promised funds for manager Dave Hockaday to strengthen the team in January despite fans calling for his head.

Oldham have called their loss to Accrington in the FA Cup at the weekend 'a financial disaster'. The Latics have seen home attendances drop by 200 a game so far this season and were hoping for a cup run to plug the financial gap. Welshpool have told their players to find new clubs and cancelled a league match due to take place tonight as details of a financial crisis emerge at the club. Manager Mike Barton, in charge for only a month, walked out over the weekend with the club struggling at the wrong end of the Cmyru Alliance after being relegated from the Welsh Premier in the summer.

Accrington say they will meet the latest FL deadline for ground improvements. They are yet to meet the Dec 31st deadline to make the Crown Ground a 5,000 capacity stadium, and have had several extensions to the deadline since their promotion in 2006 but they don't expect the FL to give them any further time. Morecambe are challenging Accrington to sign Torquay defender Kieran Charnock on loan. Woking's FA Cup replay with Brighton has been selected for live coverage on ESPN.

Port Vale will be investigated by the FA over alleged racial abuse by their supporters after referee Phil Gibbs included the matter in his match report. Gillingham have been dealt a further injury blow with the news that young midfielder Jack Payne has been ruled out for six weeks with a broken foot. They have nine players on the injury list, and four more out on loan.

Ex-Bull Jordan Fitzpatrick scored an injury time equaliser for Redditch as they drew with Worcester last night. Current Bull Sam Malsom 'ran City ragged for most of the evening' according to the local press.
