Big Ron Dinner a success

Last night's HUFC Gala Dinner at the Three Counties Hotel was well supported with nineteen tables of guests enjoying a superb three course meal followed by the very funny comedian, Stan Johns, and tales of the expected from Ron Atkinson.

Big Ron opened his session with a fake faulty microphone act followed by the comment "don’t you sometimes wish all microphones were like this"! He continued with stories from his long career including several references to his joint work with Colin Addison who was in the audience.

The evening included an auction of football memorabilia and the usual stand-up bingo which was well supported. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining evening and those in attendance will no doubt be already looking forward to the next event.
