Crewe have offered ex-Bulls loanee Danny Blanchett a one year contract with the club after a lengthy trial spell. Barnet are the only side so far to categorically state they are not banning vuvuzelas, although they will reconsider it if they 'become a problem'. Former Bulls loanee Mark Marshall is on trial at Underhill. He was released by Swindon in the summer, and used to play for current Bees boss Mark Stimson at Grays. Ex-Bull Steve Guinan says he has been offered one coaching job and a number of playing offers since being told he is free to leave Northampton.

Cheltenham have lost the services of their Head of Youth, Ken Oram, after he opted to further his career with Bristol Rovers. Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner has fallen out with the organisers of the South West tournament they are participating in after clubs were told they could only use three subs. Turner claims they were originally told they could field five.

Torquay have confirmed the signing of released Burton defender Guy Branston on a one year deal. Former Bulls defender Marvin McCoy, who spent a month with the club without playing a game, is wanted by Leeds, Charlton, and Southampton. He is currently on trial with Wycombe. Southend boss Paul Sturrock has confirmed he is yet to sign his contract despite supposed to have done so two weeks ago.

Accrington have issued an open plea for new directors with investment for the club. Stockport have named former Shrewsbury coach Dave Timmins as their new goalkeeper coach. Macclesfield have banned vuvuzelas after a fans vote saw 80% wanting the plastic trumpets barred from Moss Rose. Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler says he is no longer interested in John O'Flynn as he is too similar to his current forwards.
