Hereford United's safety officer Len Dyke (library picture) is reported to have been in charge of his last game at Edgar Street yesterday.
Dyke has been with the club for 45 years.
Also giving up their match day tasks are several programme sellers.
Supporters who give up their time to help out on matchdays are the backbone of the club and deserve everyones thanks.
Meanwhile suggestions in the BN match report that fans thought new MP Jesse Norman might have won yesterday's 50/50 draw were firmly put to bed when it emerged that Hereford United's historian Ron Parrott was the winner.
