With the game against Macclesfield going ahead on Saturday, Hereford United manager John Trewick has paid his own tribute to Keith Alexander.
"The death of a fellow manager in the manner it happened puts all the frustrations and problems and circumstances that you have to deal with on a daily and weekly basis into perspective," Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Keith was well known in the game, a popular man, a well respected man.
"Obviously he's had his health problems over the years but when it happens so suddenly it's a shock to everybody so yes it does make you sit down and think.
"It can have a galvanising effect or a negative effect on people, we will pay our respects and it is not being hard or unemotional, but life goes on and we have to be professional and do what we have to do."
