Saturday's home match with Macclesfield is to go ahead after the death of Keith Alexander.
His family have indicated they want the game to go on with assistant boss Gary Simpson telling the Silkmen OS: "Away from his family, football was his life. He just loved the game and the last thing he would have wanted was to cause any fuss. He would have expected us to go Hereford and put on a show as if it was any other game.
"Of course it is going to be tough and emotional day. And I suspect a few tears will be shed. But having spoken to his son Matt, he was adamant that his Dad would have wanted the game to go ahead and it is only right that we respect his family wishes."
Defender Paul Morgan, who played for Alexander at three clubs, also spoke about the game: "It's going to be difficult but I think we all know what the big man would like us to do on Saturday. Win or lose, we want to go down there and put on a show for the gaffer."
