Trevor Owens, BBC Hereford and Worcester's sports editor, has reflected on John Trewick's time as manager at Edgar Street.
"It was always going to be tough," said Owens.
"Graham Turner had been there for so long, it was always going to be a tough act to follow. A tough time for him to take on the job.
"Perhaps not as much money available as John Trewick would have liked but it was his team in the sense that he brought in the players but unfortunately it hasn't worked for him.
"He is a genuinely likeable man. I can't say that about every football manager but he is.
"May be he will go down amongst Hereford fans as a very good coach who perhaps struggled to make the transition to manager.
"Having said that, he will probably come back at another club and may well prove us all wrong at a later date."
