Sutton pleased with Imps Win

Manager Chris Sutton was pleased with Lincoln City's 3-1 win over Hereford United last night given the circumstances.

"It was an emotional night," said Sutton.

"The supporters turned out in their numbers and we are grateful for that because Keith (Alexander) did a fantastic job for this football club.

"With the position this club is in at the minute I think it shows just how much he should be appreciated for what he did. We would not mind swapping our position for the one the club had when he was here.

"But I think Keith would have been proud of our performance."
