News Round Up

Darlington have sacked midfielder Jeff Smith after an unspecified breach of club discipline. The player was dropped from the team last month and an investigation followed. Smith has appealed against the decision but neither club nor player have made any statements about the affair. Crewe have signed non-league striker Jordan Connerton on a three year deal from Lancaster City. He has scored 35 goals this season.

Chesterfield have signed fiery winger Ishmel Demontagnac on loan from Blackpool for a month. The 21 year old former England u18 and u19 man was sacked by Walsall 18 months ago after a string of incidents, and was dropped from the Blackpool squad after breaching club rules by going to a nightclub on the night before training. Lincoln have signed 18 year old central defender David Stephens on loan from Norwich. The first year pro made a senior debut in the JPT earlier in the season as a sub.
