Chester's expulsion from the Conference has been confirmed after the club failed to appeal against the sanction in the allowed timeframe. Their record has now been officially removed, and they are to face a court date with the taxman on Wednesday. Meanwhile the current club have applied to join the Welsh Premier League after league officials confirmed they have received an application. TNS will not be sharing the Deva Stadium as the current problems prevented the club securing the guarantees they needed.

Southend have paid January's wages after the PFA handed over a loan. The loan means the club are now subject to a transfer embargo. Chairman Ron Martin says relegation for the club would be 'fatal'. The club have named Dave Webb as their new assistant boss until the end of the season. Morecambe have signed Colchester midfielder Simon Hackney on loan. The former Carlisle man's last start was their 7-0 drubbing at Preston in early January.
