Johnson to quit Bristol City

Manager Gary Johnson is to announce this morning that he is leaving Bristol City. He has been at Ashton Gate for four years.

It appears that a dressing room row last Tuesday was the final straw.

Johnson managed Yeovil before moving to Bristol City and it was during that time he became well known to Hereford United supporters.

He was appointed at Huish Park in 2001 at the time both clubs were in the Conference.

In later years he loaned the Bulls several players including youngster Tristan Plummer.
