Jock Waugh from South Yorkshire is set to referee Tuesday evening's League Two at Edgar Street where Hereford United will take on Aldershot Town.
The Bulls have already met Waugh this season, his first at League level. That was at lowly Grimsby. However on the day the Bulls lost to a single goal late in the game and had Richard Rose, Darren Jones and Sam Gwynne booked.
With time running out, Grimsby scored their hotly disputed winner. North collected the ball looking clearly offside and while Bartlett charged down his first attempt, North was on hand to nod the rebound over the line from close range. The enraged Bulls’ defenders protested to the assistant referee, the referee himself and the great fishmonger in the sky but it was all in vane.
John Trewick wasn't too pleased.
"We feel hard done by," was Trewick's reaction to Grimsby's late goal which some thought was offside.
"I didn't have a good view from where I was but my first instinct was that it was offside. I'll have to look at the DVD. I hope it was a good camera angle.
"The linesman is insistent that it wasn't even close. He said it was well onside. I struggle to believe that so it's going to be interesting to have a look at it.
"I'm assured by several people it was offside. We feel hard done by, lost a game we didn't deserve to lose in my opinion but that's the way it is going at present."
To date this season Waugh has been the man in the middle for 15 games. In those he has given out 50 yellow and 3 yellow cards.
