Notts County are set to appoint caretaker boss Dave Kevan until the end of the season 'to provide stability to the club'. Kevan has won six of his nine games in charge, but does not want the job permanently. In a press conference to introduce the new owners, chairman Ray Trew says debts are at least £4million rather than the initial £2.5million claimed by Peter Trembling, adding that Munto Finance took close to £1million out of the club. Trew says Trembling put £500,000 in, while former chairman Derek Pavis paid December's wages to keep the club afloat.
Crewe have signed teenage striker Danny Gardner until the end of the season from Flixton of the Vodkat Premier. Bradford have called on the services of former assistant boss Martin Hunter to assist current caretaker boss Wayne Jacobs. Hunter left the Bantams in 1988 for spells with various clubs before a lengthy stint with the FA.
Shrewsbury have signed Dutch midfielder Benjamin Van Den Broek until the end of the season. The 22 year old was playing for Dutch second tier side HFC Haarlem before they went bust in January.
