Former Hereford United defender Martyn Giles is reported to be unsettled at Conference South high-fliers Newport County.
"We’ve had a lot of interest in Gilo, several enquiries, but he’s not keen on leaving on loan and wants to fight for his place and that’s fantastic news for me," said manager Dean Holdsworth.
"Martyn has been really unlucky, he’s a quality player and a smashing guy and I want to keep him here because we’d be weaker without him.
"Bath and a number of others have been in touch (about him), but we want Martyn to stay with us."
Giles was with Hereford United for the 06/07 season but was unlucky with injuries. He made 11 League starts for the Bulls.
