Tony James is staying with Burton Albion.
The Brewers have turned down an offer, said to be around £10,000, from Hereford United for James to return to Edgar Street.
According to the Burton Mail manager Paul Peschisolido has said he is close to agreeing a contract extension to keep James at the Pirelli Stadium until the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
Meanwhile ex-Bull Andy Ferrell is expected to leave York for Gateshead on a free transfer. The livewire Geordie is reported to be on the verge of signing an 18 month deal with the North East club, while Lionel Ainsworth has extended his loan at Brentford until the end of the season.
Dagenham & Redbridge have signed 19 year-old Plymouth Argyle defender, Damien McCory on a two and a half year deal. The deal is said to involve a five figure transfer fee. "Since Scott Griffiths left we've brought in loan players and all those players did their best for us," said manager John Still. "But we always wanted to bring in our own player."
Another ex-Bull in the news is Lee Collins, with the Port Vale man in the Team of the Week for his performance against the Bulls on Saturday. Glen Southam has left Bishop's Stortford for Conference side Histon.
