Hereford United chairman Graham Turner has said that progress is being made with the redevelopment of the Blackfriars End at Edgar Street.
"The applications has gone in for grants and I would be disappointed if we are not looking at applying for detailed planning consent within the next two weeks.
"It has dragged on but the prospects of it going ahead fairly quickly now is, I think, looking good.
"We had a very constructive meeting with the Richardsons and the council last Thursday."
Turner also commented about the need to have frost covers for the ground for next season which was recently reported by Bulls News.
"We were getting costings for the covers before the cold spell set in. It's looking about £15K but the problem is that it goes down to -5 but you're in trouble if the frost gets underneath. There is a limit to how effective they are.
"They will be in place for next season. Whether they are successful remains to be seen but I don't think it's a bad idea."
