The early postponement of this afternoon's League Two game at Edgar Street probably 'saved' the Bulls around £5K according to chairman Graham Turner.
"Morecambe were due to travel at 1pm (Friday)," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"If the match is subsequently postponed we have to pay their travel expenses, we have to pay their overnight accomodation.
"We delayed the programme being printed, we've stopped that.
"All in all an early decision probably saved us in the region of four or five thousand pounds which we appreciate.
"Our concern now is to making sure we play against Crewe next Tuesday. The last home league match was the December 5th.
"Normally that would mean a serious cash flow problem for most clubs but fortunately we've been a little bit prudent in our spending so it isn't a disaster for us but we want to be playing.
"I think we have a good chance of going ahead on Tuesday."
