Reaction from Orient Manager

Leyton Orient manager Geraint Williams gave his reaction after being dumped out of the Paint Trophy by Hereford United.

"We're out of the competition and disappointed to be so," he said.

"They've probably had one shot on target all match and we've created something like 19 or 20 opportunities.

"Their keeper's penalty saves were excellent, but we should have put chances away earlier and not given him the opportunity to save those penalties.

"The fact we only scored the one goal is very disappointing. When you create as many good chances as we did of course you hope to score more than we did, but looking at it positively we have created more in 45 minutes today than we have done in the last four or five games.

"I was delighted with the reaction we gave after half time. There was a small crowd in here, which is understandable, and when we went a goal behind the players got edgy because you could hear every call from the stands. It seemed to get to them a little bit

"So I said to them that they had 45 minutes to prove they could play and lift our game. They certainly did that in the second half.

"We've drawn 1-1 at home and gone out on penalties to a team to a lower division, so everyone thinks it's a terrible performance. But if you look at that second half and the amount of chances we created and good football we played, it was a good performance, just a bad result."
