Preview: Barnet vs Bulls

The Bulls are back in League action on Saturday, travelling to Underhill to take on Barnet.

Since the Bulls returned to the League honours have been shared between the two sides. Each has recorded a win both home and away in those four matches, with the Bulls winning on their last trip to Underhill in August 2007. On that day Trevor Benjamin and Theo Robinson helped the Bulls to all three points against ten man Barnet. Overall, the Bulls have won 12 of 24 games, with six draws.

Barnet have been something of a surprise package so far this season. Currently lying just outside the play-offs, they are two points off fourth place and unbeaten at home in seven League games. They've conceded only four times at Underhill, two goals each in their two home draws this season, and haven't conceded an away goal in the League in four games. Irish forward John O'Flynn has seven goals in all competitions this season, including a brace in last Saturday's FA Cup win over Darlington, while Jake Hyde has five. Veteran striker Paul Furlong has collected six yellow cards already this term, so the Bulls' defence can expect a battering.

The Bulls collected their first away win of the season on Tuesday night, and return to League action after a pair of cup matches. They travel to Underhill hard to beat, with only one loss in nine games, but yet to record three points on the road. A win on Saturday could put the Bulls into the top half of the table but they will have to do it without Mathieu Manset, who is sidelined for the second game of his three match ban, and Darren Dennehy, who has departed for Irish u21 duty.

Barnet vs Hereford United, Underhill, Saturday November 14th, 3.00pm.
