Matt Murray's comeback from his latest knee injury has suffered another setback after he lasted just 23 minutes of his return to the reserves.
Murray had not played since being stretchered off playing for the Bulls at MK Dons last November, but was subbed for Wolves reserves against Birmingham when he felt discomfort in his knee. He told the press:
"I've been training well for the last three or four weeks and I've done my first warm-up for a game for a long time and that felt good. But I just felt a little discomfort in the early stages and the medical team felt there was no point in trying to carry on and play the 90 minutes and take any risks.
"The most important thing is completing my recovery - this was just another step on my rehabilitation and when you've been out for so long then these things happen."
Meanwhile The FA have announced that they will show Norwich's trip to either Carlisle or Morecambe live on the FA website as the third televised match of the Second Round of the FA Cup. The First Round replay between Rochdale and Luton is on ITV4 tonight (8pm), while the Johnstones Paint Trophy tie between Southampton and Charlton is on Sky (7.45pm).
