Hereford United manager John Trewick thought that this afternoon's game was a great game for the fans to watch.
"There was plenty of excitement at both ends of the pitch, too much so towards the end of the game for me, but the right result for us," Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I think Mathieu (Manset) has got a presence as well as techinque and a good brain so far a lad who has just been at the club for a short period of time he is making an impression but he is only young.
"What we haven't got to do is expect too much too soon from him. Just continue to develope him and see where it takes us.
"If somebody puts the sort of effort in that he does, and it's the same with Craig King when he came to the club, I think the supporters will get behind him.
"I very pleased with the work ethic that him and King have showing along with the others as well. They put a lot of graft in today and got a great result.
"Chesterfield are a good side and we knew they would have a period in the game when we had to defend for a little bit and it happened after we scored.
"We went 1-0 up and for some reason we seemed to take our foot off the gas a little bit."
Trewick brought on Eddie Sonko with about 15 minutes to go and moved King to the right hand side.
"I just wanted a bit more stability in mid-field. I wanted to try and protect the back four a little bit more."
Trewick reaffirmed his hope that the loan players whose initial spell finishes this weekend may be able to stay at Edgar Street.
"We are currently working on that. We've spoken to the players involved, we've spoken to the clubs involved so I'm hoping that everything will pan out next week."
