No signs of fresh players at Edgar Street

John Trewick could only muster six players on the bench this afternoon as illness and injury has taken its toll on the Hereford United squad.

Ryan Green had travelled with the squad to Grimsby but was unable to play as he felt unwell and Glen Southam had to be subbed early in the second half after sustaining an injury.

Trewick was asked whether any new players were expected.

"I've spoken to certainly two, the third one didn't quite materialize the way I thought it might, but I'm looking, I've got to," Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"The players who are in the squad at the moment are working hard, however they are not getting the results that are required and it's my job to change that.

"And if I need to get more players in then that's what I'll have to do.

"I think a lot of players have had a lot of chances to get results on the board for us and for one reason and another it hasn't happened.

"I know what I have to do, it's doing it is the hard thing.

"I'll continue to try to address the situation."
