News Round Up

Contrary to reports yesterday the Conference have not made a final decision on the Gateshead-Hayes and Yeading match, and have now asked Gateshead why they have issued a press release saying they have. The matter will not be resolved until next week. Darlington have signed Carlisle defender Tony Kane on a months loan. The former Blackburn trainee played nine times for the Cumbrians during a loan spell last season, but has only made one JPT appearance since making the move permanent in the summer.

Leeds' local council are to buy their Thorp Arch training complex before an option to buy it runs out. The £6million deal includes an option to sell the complex back to the club, who sold it in 2004 when deep in money troubles. Rochdale have loaned winger Simon Whaley from Norwich for a month. The 24 year old only joined Norwich in the summer under former boss Bryan Gunn.
