The annual general meeting of HUISA, The Hereford United Independent Supporters Association, took place yesterday (Saturday) at the Richmond Club. Chairperson Keith Dodd took the meeting with help from several other committee members.
A few points from the meeting:
The number of HUISA members rose last season from 64 to 68. Donations worth £2646 were given to the club mainly in the form of extra physio benches.
The HUISA away travel lost money last season. The committee endeavoured to run a coach to all away games, other than Carlisle, but as the season went on several coaches travelled with too few supporters on them.
The 50/50 ticket draw at home games is the main source of income for HUISA. Perhaps surprisingly given the drop in gates, sales remained good.
Overall in the year to July 31st HUISA had an surplus over expenditure of £1451.
The chairman revealed that chairman Graham Turner had called a liason meeting at Edgar Street tomorrow (Monday) evening. He expected that amidst the main topics of discussion would be the police charges dispute, the cost of building the new Blackfriars Stand and the Meadow End problems.
