Tony Bates is set to referee Tuesday evening's Carling Cup-tie between Hereford United and Charlton Athletic.
Bates is no stranger to Edgar Street having been in charge of the Bulls' last home game in League One. That was against MK Dons in May.
The Staffordshire based official tends to keep his cards hidden away. Last season he refereed some 38 games giving out 64 yellow and just three red cards.
