News Round Up

Notts County have added Lee Hughes to their squad on a two year deal. The 33 year old initially turned them down, but will now partner Luke Rodgers in a new look strike force. Burton winger Keith Gilroy will miss the first month of the season with a persistent ankle problem. Northampton have handed Steve Guinan the no.9 shirt for the coming season. Dean Beckwith will wear 6, while Craig Hinton is their new captain.

Chester say they have provided all the paperwork requested by the FA to sanction their emergence from Administration, but the FA say they are still waiting on certain information. Darlington are to sign defender Mark Bower when they are able to after nicking him from under Chester's noses. Bradford have missed out on defender Andy Holdsworth after he opted to join Oldham on a two year deal.

Cheltenham will sign ex-Swindon man Michael Pook on August 1st, after his month's severance pay has expired with his old club. In Martin Allen's own words "he certainly hasn't won the lottery signing for us." King's Lynn have three months to pay their outstanding tax bill after staving off a winding up order by paying half of the demand.
