Darlington's CVA discussion has been delayed by eight days. It was due to be heard tomorrow but will now be discussed next Thursday. They need 75% of the debt amount to agree to a 0.9p/£ payoff. A sucessful agreement will lead to the club being brought out of Administration by George Houghton then immediately sold to Raj Singh. The FL would also have to ratify the deal, with Luton previously being forced to pay unsecured creditors 16p/£ by the FL after failing to agree a CVA.
Weymouth don't have the money to start next season at present. They have also lost coach Andy Tillson, appointed only three weeks ago, to Exeter. Accrington have sold 700 season tickets so far, up from 400 last season and barely 100 the year before. They have also named General Manager Dave O'Neill as their new Chairman ahead of his takeover of the club being completed.
Grimsby are said to be set to turn down a record offer from Peterboro for defender Ryan Bennett. Their local paper reckons the offer of over £500,000 would be a record for a League Two player. Notts County want Shrewsbury midfielder Ben Davies, with The Mirror saying they have outbid the Shrews and other League Two rivals for his services although the club have denied this.
Luton are to complain to the Football League after being told they will not be able to defend the Johnstones Paint Trophy they won in April. Ex-Bull Tony Elliott, currently working for Liverpool in Sweden, is rumoured to be in line to return to former club Carlisle as goalkeeper coach. Northampton defender Jason Crowe has turned down a new contract and agreed terms with Leeds instead.
