Southampton fansites are reporting that the bidders that lodged a bond for exclusivity are struggling to make a deal for the club. The Pinnacle consortium are two weeks into their three weeks exclusive period, and the Administrator will be force to turn to one of two other bidders if no deal is struck in the next week. Ex-Bull Michael Rose is reported to have had a medical at Hartlepool ahead of a move from stricken Stockport.
Scottish side Clyde have staved off Administration after their last 12 players agreed to terminate their contracts. 13 other out of contract players had already been released and the club will now likely go part time. Cheltenham are hoping to sign Kidderminster midfielder Chris McPhee, but it will be their last permanent signing of the summer according to manager Martin Allen.
Morecambe have admitted bidding £42,000 for Ebbsfleet midfielder Michael Gash. The fan owned club turned the bid down after they voted overwhelmingly to reject a £30,000 offer reported to be from Luton. The chase for Theo Robinson is now up to £275,000 according to the Southend press. Both Swindon and Brighton are said to have offered that sum, but the Shrimpers are unlikely to follow suit.
Dagenham say that one of the three soon to depart players has been offered £1,800 a week by a League One side, plus a £15,000 signing on fee. Chester's creditors meet today to vote on the £290,000 offer on the table from Stephen Vaughan to take the club out of Administration. The deal on offer pays around 15% to creditors, with the local press expecting the deal to be accepted.
