Dons enjoy their visit to Herefordshire

It appears the MK Dons supporters had a good day yesterday. Not only did their team win at Edgar Street, but their journey to Herefordshire was enjoyable as well. Here's part of an article from 'TheBucksFizz.com

A dour affair at Edgar Street did nothing to spoil a day that started off with a genuine party feel and finished with several hangovers, third place in the final league table and the mortifying memory of DaveDons getting some serious love action from SpongeBob SquarePants in a Herefordshire beer garden! As far as end-of season bashes go, this has to go down as one of the best.

As has been the case so often this season, Franco not only did a superb job of seamlessly organising three packed coaches but once again produced a pub stop at 'The Trumpet' near Ledbury that will go down as one of the best this season. I'm sure every Fizz traveller will join me in thanking the big man for giving us a season to remember with some wonderful stop-offs that have given fans the chance to build some lasting memories as well as some lasting friendships. Top man!

Climbing on board a coach before nine in the morning after two hours of sleep to be faced with Vicki Pollard and Pete Winkelman fancy dress costumes can be a little disconcerting but the effort made by many Fizz regulars yesterday went a long way to creating a superb atmosphere before and after the game. Also on board were Super Lewie, Papa Smurf, the ASBO Fizzettes, Batman, Jonny Vegas and an Arabian gentleman who spent much of his afternoon being molested by Bananaman. You all looked fantastic, folks! More of the same at Wembley, please!

Travelling on to the game itself, we were afforded the strange luxury of a very high-profile police escort that made us wonder whether the Herefordshire police had made a bit of a mix-up in their intelligence work. We might have nicked their song, but we definitely ain't no Millwall. The escort was made all the more perplexing by the fact that once everybody was off the coach, we were given a free reign to go pretty much where we wanted to anyway! Still, I'm sure they know what they're doing!

Going back to Edgar Street is a stark contrast to the luxury we enjoy at S:MK. The Blackfriars terrace is a bit of a throwback to the seventies, but the 1078 Dons fans that packed it spent much of the afternoon making their presence felt with some superb banter between those behind the goal and the Dons fans that stood in the overflow terracing to the left of the Blackfriars end.

.......

A final word to the survivors who made it to the 'Mod Revival Night' in Linslade last night, and their superb rendition of 'Franchise Scum' during the playing of 'Tom Hark' - A fantastic ending to a fantastic day!
