Tonight was a big disappointment - Turner

In his post match interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester, Graham Turner said there was still a mathematical chance that the Bulls could avoid relegation despite this evening 2-1 defeat by Brighton.

"It's a big disappointment tonight. It puts us in an almost, not quite, almost impossible situation," said the Hereford United manager.

"We found the going tough. For the first 25 minutes they dominated the game with their formation. We had to try and change a little bit to counter it.

"And under the greatest pressure in the second half, one down, going up against the wind and against the slope I thought we for a period had a little go.

"We got hold of one or two balls, particularily down the left hand side and we showed a little bit of bottle. Then the second goal kills us off totally.

"You could see everybody just wilt when the second goal went in.

"I don't think Brighton have worked too hard to get their goals. I think they've been two very poor goals.

"From our point of view it is the difficulty of three centre-halves missing. You are up against it when you have put a make-shift back four in. It was too easy for them to score."
