The Bulls travel to Whaddon Road looking for a League double over Cheltenham Town.
Steve Guinan's double, and a Matt Murray assisted third from Sam Gwynne, saw the Bulls run out 3-0 winners at Edgar Street in the reverse fixture. In their two previous visits to Whaddon Road, both in the Conference, the Bulls scored twice each time while it will be six days short of ten years since the Robins last beat the Bulls home or away.
Cheltenham boss Martin Allen told the press he needed 45 minutes to calm down after seeing his side demolished by the Bulls in November, but he will probably need a darkened room and padded walls if his ramshackle defence continues their current form. Nineteen goals conceded in their last five League matches have seen their charge for the safety mark fall badly off the rails. They have scored eleven times in those matches, but the worst defence in the Football League means they earned just one point.
The Bulls exploited defensive frailities during the first match, and will be eager to continue the scoring in front of a bumper travelling support. Bulls fans will get a belated first look at Peter Gulacsi and Febian Brandy, who they hope will be a shot in the arm to the survival fight. Steve Guinan scored just thirteen League goals in three seasons at Whaddon Road, but equalled that record in only half the matches since his permanent return to Edgar Street.
Cheltenham Town vs Hereford United, Whaddon Road, Saturday 14th February, 3.00pm.
