Oxfordshire 'Fans' caused trouble in Cheltenham

One of the reasons Police will be on the look-out for potential trouble in Cheltenham on Saturday stems from problems in the town last Saturday when a group of Oxfordshire 'fans' were involved in a brawl.

Police are reported to have made 16 arrests at the Moon under Water JD Wetherspoon pub in Bath Road after reports of a man being kicked in the head. All those arrested came from Oxfordshire.

Police said chairs and furniture were thrown around and a significant amount of damage was done to the pub.

The football fans had stopped in Cheltenham after their game had been postponed.
