Walsall part company with Mullen

Another League One manager has parted company with his club.

This lunchtime Walsall have revealed that Jimmy Mullen has been dismissed after a run of poor results.

“After careful consideration, the board has taken the decision to terminate the employment of Jimmy Mullen as first team manager, with immediate effect," says the club.

“The decision has been taken as a result of a sequence of disappointing results, particularly at home games, which has been damaging to attendances."

Mullen was appointed last April. During his time at the club they won just 10 of his 31 games in charge.
