Orient part company with manager Ling

Martin Ling and his assistant Dean Smith have parted company with Leyton Orient by 'mutual consent'.

Orient are just above Hereford United in the League One table and were defeated at home by Bristol Rovers yesterday. It was their 13th defeat of the season.

Ling was the sixth longest serving manager in the Football League, and the eleventh League One manager to depart this season.

In other news Stockport County manager Jim Gannon has admitted to the News of the World that the club might have to part with some of its players.

"I put a lot of trust in our young players, but they are all available because we have to sell to balance the books," said Gannon.
