The Bulls travel to the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday to take on Huddersfield in a League One match.
The teams last met nearly 30 years ago, during the 1979/80 season, when the Terriers played at Leeds Road. The Bulls lost only one of four trips to the old ground, with the Bulls inflicting one of only two home defeats on the Yorkshire side as they won the Division Four title in 1980.
The Bulls travel north looking for a second successive away win after their win over Colchester. Robbie Threlfall will hope to be back into the first team picture after nearly four months on the sidelines. In ten months of football at Edgar Street Threlfall has managed just sixteen games due to various injuries, but his return will ease pressure on the stretched and patched up Bulls squad.
Huddersfield will be something of an unknown quantity. New boss Lee Clark took his first training session yesterday after watching their weekend win at Southend from the stands. He intends to use a reserve match with Grimsby to assess the rest of his squad before making plans for his first official game in charge. They have won four of five League matches since Stan Ternent got the sack, but have scored only six times in those games.
Huddersfield Town vs Hereford United, Galpharm Stadium, Saturday 20th December, 3.00pm.
