Hereford United manager Graham Turner was expected to attend yesterday's meeting of the League Managers Association (LMA) called to discuss the difficulties for Match Officials.
"Although we Managers all have our complaints at different times through the season, the meeting is designed to come up with constructive suggestions of how we, the Managers, believe standards could be improved," said Turner.
35 current managers from throughout the four leagues attended the meeting. They decided, amidst other things, to send their views to Keith Hackett, the referee's top man.
Richard Bevan, chief executive of the LMA, said: "Individual refereeing decisions will always generate differences of opinion and debate, what we want is to see an improvement in the overall system, leading to a higher standard of refereeing across the leagues and therefore creating an environment in which The FA’s Respect Campaign can flourish.
"Our members have an unrivalled depth of knowledge, experience and expertise. We will continue to represent their views with the aim of moving the game forward in a positive way."
