The confirmation from manager Graham Turner that Darren Randolph is unlikely to play for the Bulls ever again means that one of the more successful keepers in recent times will be leaving Edgar Street.
Considering Hereford United are propping up League One, Darren Randolph hasn't had a bad record whilst keeping goal for the Bulls.
He has played in 13 of the fifteen league fixtures this season. Craig Samson kept goal at Edgar Street when Yeovil were the visitors and away at Bristol Rovers.
Randolph let in 15 goals which is just 1.15 goals per game.
His worst return was at Oldham when he let four past him.
But at Leeds in late September he gave one of the best displays from a young keeper in a Hereford shirt for many years.
That Saturday afternoon Leeds had 19 shots on target. Just one beat Randolph who was given a nine for his performance - the only Hereford United player to have been given a nine this season to date.
"Our keeper kept us in it for a long time. He really came into his own," said Turner after the game.
Randolph has the potential to play at a higher level. The news of his departure from Edgar Street will probably only be a minor set-back. After all he's only 21 which is quite young for a keeper.
