Slade looked at Fleetwood

Yeovil manager Russell Slade has said that he made an enquiry with Charlton about taking Stuart Fleetwood on loan but was told he had an injury.

The former Hereford United striker has just gone on loan to Brighton after a spell at Cheltenham.

"I made a little enquiry about him (Stuart Fleetwood) to see what was happening and was told he had a bit of a bruised shoulder and wasn’t going to come out at the time. He’s gone out but there’s other things I’m looking at - I never spin just one plate."

The fact that Slade enquired after Fleetwood appears to show how sought after strikers seem to have become recently.

Yeovil have only scored 14 goals in 14 League One games this season. Only Leyton Orient (11 goals) and Hereford (8 goals) have scored less.
