Whatever ones opinion of Martin Allen and Cheltenham Town there little doubt they have come up with several novel ways of keeping the supporters involved with the club.
One of his latest ideas is a 'Bangers 'n' Mash evening'.
"Come and have a great night. We will discuss all things football and enjoy my favourite food. The best and most stimulating question will win a prize to be my assistant manager for the day!" said Allen.
Admission for the evening which takes place on December 1st is £10.
One week later Allen is looking for supporters to have the experience of being first team players. Or as he puts it 'turn your fantasy into reality'.
"I guarantee the full match day experience from a professional footballer's perspective. Afterwards we will have a "Man on the Match" award plus a "worst" player of the night," said Allen.
"The cost to be a member of the squad, managed by myself, is £150 per person to include a complete match day playing experience and a squad photograph. Players must be over 16 years of age and this "once in a lifetime opportunity" is open to both male and female. Admission for spectators on the night is free."
