Ainsworth to go out on loan

The new manager at Watford, Malky Mackay, has spoken to several of the younger players at the club and told them a loan spell where they will be playing more often would be beneifical to them. With a close to fully fit squad Mackay can afford to reduce his numbers. Former Hereford United winger Lionel Ainsworth is one of the those destined for a loan spell.

"I've been really pleased with the way our injured players have been nurtured back to fitness and only Mart Poom remains a long-term problem, with Scott Loach nearing a return and Gareth Williams progressing his rehab with one or two training sessions," Mackay told the Watford official website.

"With that in mind I have spoken to three of the boys who, I feel, need to get some games at this time.

"Lionel Ainsworth, Jordan Parkes and Cedric Avinel have all been spoken to by me this week and they're aware of my plans and are keen to play games and keep their match fitness up by taking loan moves.

"I'll be speaking to interested clubs in the coming days and weeks and we'll take it from there, but I'd rather players be playing and be of use to other managers, than sit here watching from the sidelines."
