Hereford United captain Karl Broadhurst was pleased to be playing again but couldn't hide his disappointment at being on the losing side against Scunthorpe at Edgar Street this afternoon.
"We thought the first half went extremely well, got the penalty and new lad Chadders put it away really well," Broadhurst told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"To go in at half-time with a 1-0 lead was very good for us, but we knew they would start well in the second half and we didn't.
"We were outplayed in the first twenty minutes, a bit sloppy on the ball and with the quality they've got going forward - if you keep giving the ball away it puts you under pressure - and we paid the price for that with two sloppy goals from our point of view really.
"The first one we were disappointed with that. The gaffer is going to look at that the DVD as it actually came from our corner and they broke away from us. Hayes found himself in the middle of the pitch with no-one within ten yards.
"We did have some good opportunities in the second half especially the last twenty minutes when we seemed to come alive but going 2-1 down you would expect that.
"We should have been taking the game to them at 1-0 rather than waiting until we were 2-1 down."
